ABOUT ME
I’m Nick Kokinelis, a wildlife and nature photographer based in Florida. I focus on birds, coastal ecosystems, and the quiet drama of natural landscapes. Explore my portfolio to see my latest work. As a wildlife photographer, I’m drawn to the quiet moments where wildlife, light, and landscape intersect.
My work focuses on the birds and animals that define the character of the places I explore — from the red‑tailed hawks and sandhill cranes of Starkey Ranch to the coastal species that move through Florida’s wetlands.
I’m especially inspired by the challenge of photographing wildlife in a way that feels intimate without disturbing the natural rhythm of their world. Whether I’m tracking the arc of a pelican over open water or waiting for a hummingbird to hover just long enough, I aim to create images that feel alive, honest, and grounded in place.
My photography is also shaped by travel through Florida, New England, Yellowstone National Park, Sitka Alaka and beyond have expanded the way I see color, texture, and landscape — and those influences find their way into my work back home. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually out exploring local wildlife areas, learning about the species I photograph, or planning the next place to wander with a lens in hand.
